Parkinsync

EMG exoskeleton for Parkinsonian tremor.

Parkinsync is an exoskeleton concept that reads muscle activity directly and provides motor support against tremor. Surface EMG picks up the intended movement, and the control logic distinguishes voluntary motion from tremor so the actuation assists the former and damps the latter.

The work spanned a mechanical team and an electronics team, and was presented at the Canadian Biomedical Engineering Conference.
